The team at the Zadeh lab have made strides in understanding how to improve some of the negative side effects associated with brain tumour treatment, understanding how molecular factors influence direction of tumour management, and the impact living with a brain tumour has on a neuro-oncological population. Additionally, the lab has identified drugs that hold promise to be transitioned from clinical trials into clinical practice for patients with malignant brain tumours.
We are grateful to have funding for our research through donations, government grants, non-profit foundations and other funding agencies. Some of the financial supporters include Terry Fox Research Institute, U.S. Department of Defense, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Canadian Cancer Society, Brain Tumour Charity- UK, Children’s Tumor Foundation and philanthropic support from other stakeholders, such as patients and their families who are affected by these nervous system tumours.
